My family and I drive up from Alabama for a family reunion and watch the cruise every year in front of my brother-in-law's lawn. This year we had over two hundred people and their hot rods parked in the lawn. We loved it last year because they drove down the M36. But we did not see as much cars this year due to the route change. We were all disappointed when they change the route. We even video taped all the cars driving by and doing burnouts. We will be back next year and hope we see more cars.

First off the cruise was a helluva lot of fun as My wife and I now need 2 new tires on the back of our Panther Pink Challenger! I would like to suggest that the route turn right out of the school to M-36 then right to McGregor, right on there to Dexter Pinckney, then right to Patterson Lake Rd then left through Hell. I think that would include a few more of the people that were previously on the route and make travel easier as all turns would be right turns therefor not impeding traffic as much until the turn left to head to Hell. Leaving the school will never be able to include the complete Hamburg area unless you went to the light at Hamburg turned left and came back around Winans Lake to Chilson which would be cool having the cruise passing back by itself but that makes a long cruise. BUT thats what its all about anyways right?? Cruising!! Just my 2 cents.

I agree with Craig! This event was a fundraiser for the Band. It was a great cause and one "Helluva" Good Time. Come to the event next year and support them, don't wait for them to drive to you.

The route was published in last week's Green Sheet and on the web site. The web site was published on all the road signs that were put up at least 2 weeks prior to the event. I'm not sure how much more notice the organizers could have given. Why not come to the event next year instead of expecting the event to come to you. You missed a HELLUVA good time.

The car show and cruise was awesome. Thanks to the organizers, staff and sponsors. Well done!! I'll be back next year. I was impressed with the number of spectators along the cruise route. To those who enjoy tricked out drag cars and burnouts, please visit Milan Dragway on any Friday, Saturday or Sunday during the summer.

I have to agree with those that would like to see the route changed back to the Hamburg end of Pinckney. Going from Dexter Pinckney Rd. to McGregor to M-36 would be awesome. So many more people could watch and the cruisers would be watched.

As soon as this fantastic event winds down this year, PLEASE work on plotting a new route for next year that includes Hamburg. Family and Business traditions are at stake. I would, personally, like to see all of the cars routed down Island Shore Dr., but that may be asking too much...

I agree with Deby. The new route change is unexpected and a real disappointment. It seems to me that Pincney High back to Pinckney is limiting the exposure for both the cruisers and the fans. I vote to change the route back to the way it was. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

There will be a lot of disappointed cruisers and watchers this year. I see seats setting up already along M-36 in anticipation of the cars, and they won't be seeing a cruise as the route has been changed. Perhaps next year we will have time to include the Hamburg end of Pinckney?

The Obstacle Course is AWESOME!! If you have kids from 10 - 25, this will put a HUGE smile on their face!

The first two cars in the show arrived last night at 8:40pm!! There's a lot of excitement about this show - it's going to be A GREAT DAY!!

There is not an officially sanctioned after cruise event.

Muscle Car Sponsor Bleachers Bar & Grill is hosting an after cruise Party and has put a coupon in the goody bag and program. Muscle Car sponsor Hamburg Dairy Queen Grill & Chill has put coupons in the goody bag. Or visit one of our Hot Rod Sponsors: Screams Ice Cream, Pinckney Pub & Grill, Lakeland Coney Island, Alekos in Hamburg, Hell Country Store, or the Dam Site Inn.

You will have a great time at any of these establishments with other cruisers and spectators.
